Hound & Hide began in pet products, with a simple goal: to apply the same standards of material and design found in fashion and well made objects.
What existed felt overly emotional or overly disposable. We were interested in something quieter and more exacting.
Our background is in leather and objects shaped by use. We looked to places where leather is treated as a discipline rather than a finish, and that led us to Argentina, where tradition, landscape, and practice inform how material is selected and handled.
From there, the approach became focused. Fewer decisions. Fewer materials. An insistence on correctness and longevity.
The goal is simple: to create work that feels natural alongside the rest of a considered life restrained, permanent, and grounded in material intelligence.
